Beauty Essentials | Hand Luggage

As you probably know I went to Spain for two weeks at the end of July. I love going on holiday, I mean who doesn't? But I hate flying. I am absolutely terrified. My boyfriend and I sat next to my 10 year old brother on the flight and my boyfriend had to sit in the middle so my brother and I could both hold his hand during take off, landing and any turbulence. So, despite me telling you that these products are hand luggage essentials, I was not in the right frame of mind to start thinking about beauty products, so I didn't actually use any of these and I even wore make up - naughty. As you will probably all know flying is terrible for your skin. The air conditioning in the plane really drys your skin out so I packed some hydrating products to try to combat this. I knew I would never be one to apply a facemask, especially as the flight was only 2 & 1/2 hours.

I would recommend not wearing any make-up to fly, because no one will care what you look like and it means you don't have to take it off once you're on the plane to apply the products. As you can see I only have two products for my skin, but for a short haul flight I think that's fine. I have the Caudalie SOS Thirst Quenching Serum, this is a really lovely milky serum which absorbs into the face really quickly. It is targeted towards dehydrated skin, which is exactly what your skin will be when you've been on a flight. As it absorbs so quickly you could just keep on applying it every hour or so to really hydrate your skin. The other product is one I always always rave about, it's the Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm. I would recommend applying a thick layer of this because my lips always seem to be dry anyway, so this is just made worse by all the air conditioning. I talk about this all the time, so you all know how much I love it!

The other two products are for when you get off the plane. I always feel a bit gross after flying, even on short flights so I have my Stella by Stella McCartney perfume to spritz pretty liberally and I have my Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer to perk up my skin and hide those under eye bags!

Lisa Eldridge has a whole video with beauty product recommendations for long haul flights, but this is my streamlined version. Hoped you liked it!
