My job is pretty fast paced and high pressure, this leads to me being very stressed! I work from 6am until around 3pm, this means 5am alarms to look forward to everyday. Usually when I come in from work at about 3pm I sit on the sofa and don't move until about 7.30pm when I drag myself into the shower and then it's suddenly 9pm and I'm ready to get into bed ready for my 5am alarm. An evening disappeared in the blink of an eye.
But today, I came in from work and went straight back out to the gym and did a 25 min run. Then I came back, jumped straight in the shower and by the time I was drying my hair it wasn't even 4pm! This left me the whole afternoon and evening to do what I wanted and I feel completely energised by my gym session! I've managed to take multiple blog photos, watch some TV, cook dinner, catch up with friends I haven't chatted to in a while and write this blog post - all before 7.30pm. I'm going to try really hard to be more active when I get home from work else it can all get a bit depressing. I was getting into a rut where I felt like I just went to work and watched TV, not fun at all. I live in the middle of a city centre so there are endless things for me to do, even if it is just to grab a coffee and do some window shopping!
Plans for the rest of tonight are to drink endless cups of tea and watch Frozen (again...)
