Moving to London means there are so many amazing shops around but for some reason I am always drawn in to Topshop. I think it's because I know I will find things I like in there, but I do need to branch out from the typical high street shops and take advantage of living in London. But anyway, I found lots of things and spent far too much money.
There is no guidelines about what to wear at my new job, you can go in trainers jeans and a hoody if you wanted to. Which will be great for those mornings when I need those extra 20 mins sleep but generally I do like to make a bit of an effort so I thought I would get a few new bits to perk up my wardrobe.
My best friend bought the coated Topshop Leigh jeans and (with her permission) I copied her! They are a bit smarter than normal jeans but still really comfortable. One thing to bare in mind is that they aren't as stretchy as normal jeans, I think it's to do with the coating on them, I bought my regular size and they are definitely quite snug but I think as I wear them more they will loosen up a bit.
I bought two tops, this Topshop shirt that I have seen Lily Pebbles wearing and I'm so glad I bought it, it hangs so nicely and is really flattering. Then I noticed that everything I was looking at was black and white, I am definitely loving monochrome but I thought I should inject a bit of colour so I went for this peachy orange loose t-shirt. I love this paired with my new jeans.
Finally from Topshop I got myself a new bag, I can't seem to find it on the website though, sorry! I used to buy bags constantly when I was younger but I hadn't bought one in a long time, so I think it was due! I splashed out and got this beautiful black leather bag which I think will last for ages and obviously because it's black it goes with everything.
I also bought Revlon Black Cherry lipstick which I've wanted for ages. I'm getting back into wearing lipsticks, I was always too self conscious to wear them at my last job but new job, new lipsticks! I finally bought Gone Girl, I know I'm a bit late to the party and everyone is raving about the film but I always want to read books first. And sometimes if I love a book loads I won't ever watch the film cause I'm always worried it won't live up to my expectations and then once I've seen a film it makes me forget how I imagined it - Harry Potter is a very good example of this. I will never ever watch The Lovely Bones cause that is my all time favourite book, if you haven't read it I would highly recommend but be prepared for tears!!
I definitely need to rein in the spending from now on, living in London is so expensive!!
Hope you've had a great weekend!
