So it's been a while since my last fitness update.. two months in fact. My motivation went out the window completely. But thanks to this post from Ella I have remembered all the reasons why I wanted to get fit in the first place. I have joined a gym and got an awesome deal which means I can use the gym, swimming pool and classes alongside three personal training sessions. So no excuses about being bored!
Since joining the gym I have been at least twice a week, I'm trying to increase this to at least three times a week. But I also don't want to obsess over how frequently I go else I will just put myself off altogether. I've also been pretty good with food too (although I did have a Saturday night chinese takeaway...), I really like healthy food, it's just a bit more effort than putting a pizza in the oven. I am also taking lunch to work and I have this adorable lunch box from Flamingo Gifts which I love.
At the gym I'm switching between Kayla Itsines workouts and the plan that my personal trainer put together for me. I have to follow some kind of routine else I just feel a bit lost amongst all the machines. Kayla's routine is only 28minutes so if I'm short for time then I will do that whereas my PT plan is just over an hour.
I am hoping I will stick with this, seeing as I have paid for my membership. Reading Ella's blog is really motivating me. She has just signed up for the London Marathon next year and will be running it for Asthma UK so if you want to sponsor her then you can here: Just Giving. Any tips for keeping motivated?
