Hello 2017

Happy new year!

I haven't blogged in a while, but I thought I would come back with a recap on my 2016. I've treated myself to a moleskine diary and I'm ready for 2017!

TRAVEL

This year I was lucky enough to travel, it had been a long time since I'd been on holiday but this year I went away 3 times! Tom and I spent two amazing weeks in Spain, it was probably the most relaxing time of the year. We also got to go to Dublin for the weekend for Tom's mum's birthday which was so much fun. We went on some lovely walks and ate delicious food. Then finally in December Tom and I went to Berlin to experience the Christmas markets, I've never really done a city break before but I loved it. So this year we've decided we want to travel as much as possible, you can definitely make it a lot cheaper if you shop around for flights and air bnb's.

With that in mind, for Christmas I bought Tom and I a weekend away in Barcelona in February! We've both really wanted to visit Barcelona so we're really excited - let me know any recommendations!

BOOKS

2016 was the year I fell back in love with reading. I set myself a goal to read 25 books, I actually ended up reading 46!! This year my target is 52, which does seem quite intimidating, but I'm excited. I love finding new authors and just chilling out with a book and a glass of wine!

FITNESS

Fitness and me have a rocky relationship to say the least. I did really well for probably about 3/4 of 2016. But the last 3 months I kind of gave up. Something about the cold mornings make it impossible to get up and go to the gym. Classic new years resolution to jump back on the bandwagon. But this year I'm going to find what I actually enjoy. I hate running, so much. I spend so much time wishing I enjoyed it, but I really don't. So for my cardio I'm going to stick with spin classes which I actually really enjoy! I attended a class with Virgin Active called The Pack, this was a spin class but within it there were races and you were split into 3 teams and had to try to beat the other teams. This competitive aspect really made me try hard!

For 2017 I would like to;
- read 52 books
- go to 2 spin classes a week
- moisturise more (got to give myself an easy one)

I hope 2017 will be good to us all.
